Alipay, one of China's largest third-party online payment platforms and a subsidiary of e-commerce behemoth Alibaba Group, has launched a new service to offer one-stop payments for payment of public utilities.

With this new service, people will not need to wait in the long queues in the banks to pay for such daily public utility charges as water, electricity, gas and communications. With several simply clicks on their mouse, they can easily complete the entire process from their own computers.

To make this convenient service be available for more people, Alipay will open its public utility payment platform to both its registered members and non-members. For the non-members, they can also enter the platform through the front page of Alipay and after they finish the processing of the bill, they can complete the payment with their bank cards.
